The grass fire was well underway by 9:00 pm. Winds were calm, which helped to contain the flames very quickly. Only a couple of acres were consumed and mop-up started at about 9:30 pm.

This fire scene is great depiction of how difficult it can be to combat smaller fires in the dark, as many hazards my be lurking in the darkness.

No structures were involved. Multiple trucks were called to the scene and are as follows: BC2, BR4, BR9, E4, E6, E8, E9, R10, TTN6. Fire officials did not release information on the source of this fire.
