Winds hampered containment, as ground and air crews battled the fire, and a small lake was used as a water source for the helicopters.

Multiple fire departments from Santa Clara County, California, and Cal Fire Aviation Program (air support) were called to the scene of this open-space fire. Winds hampered containment, as the ground and air crews battled the growing wild fire.
A small nearby lake was used as a water source for the helicopters and two bulldozers were also on the scene. This fire was located in the foothills, just east of Milpitas, where several homes and a large park is located.
Fire authorities did not release any information on the source of this fire.
